How does it work?

Teens can sign up for Job Alerts for free and may create a Job Seeker Profile and upload their resume if they wish. Registration is not required. Employers pay a small fee for posting a job. Teens apply directly with the Employer through the site and the Employer will contact the Teens directly. Please note that TeenJobsNJ.com does not do background checks on teens or employers. Good luck!

Is there a cost?

No, there is no cost for Teens.

What do Teens get paid?

Rate of pay is agreed upon by the Employer and Teen directly and payment is made by the employer. TeenJobsNJ.com simply helps to connect them. See our Working Papers section for infomation regarding minimum wage.

How old do I have to be to use the site?

You must be at least 13 years old.

 

Employer FAQs

How does it work?

To post a job click on Post A Job at the top or the yellow Post A Job button. You will need to create a short Employer Profile first before purchasing your job post. Residential type job posts are $7 for 30 days and Small Business job posts are $30 for 30 days. Your job will be posted as soon as possible and Teens can view the jobs on the site at any time. Job alerts are sent daily at 3:00pm. Please note that TeenJobsNJ.com does not do background checks on teens or employers.

Is there a cost?

Yes, Residential type job posts are $7 for 30 days and Small Business job posts are $30 for 30 days. The fees pay for operating costs and donations to local charities.

What do I do once I hire someone?

When you fill the job, please deactivate the job post by logging into your Employer Profile.

How long does my post remain on the site?

Your job post will remain on the site for 30 days.
